Sir Harold Jeffreys , FRS (22 April 1891 – 18 Maret 1989) adalah seorang matematikawan , ahli statistik , ahli geofisika , dan astronom .
Ia dilahirkan di Fatfield, Washington, County Durham , Inggris . Ia belajar di di Newcastle upon Tyne , saat itu bagian dari Universitas Durham , serta di Universitas London External Programme. [ 1 ] Ia kemudian mengajar di St John's College, Cambridge dan menjadi fellow pada tahun 1914.
