My name is Derk-Jan Hartman. I used to edit, but now I mostly deal with tech stuff. I'm a volunteer contributor to the MediaWiki software that runs Wikipedia , dealing with things like accessibility, scripting, CSS, small bugs, mobile, video and so much more.. A long time ago I was one of the volunteer developers of VLC media player .

I still occasionally provide support to English Wikipedia, but really only if it is in the interest of furthering MediaWiki and/or the global and diverse Wikimedia movement.
