Partai Komunis Rumania ( Partidul Comunist Român , PCR) adalah partai komunis di Rumania . Pada tahun 1930-an, banyak aktivis partai ini yang dipenjarakan atau mengungsi ke Uni Soviet . Partai komunis muncul sebagai aktor kuat dalam drama politik Rumania pada Agustus 1944 ketika partai ini terlibat dalam kudeta yang dipimpin oleh Raja Mihai terhadap pemerintah Ion Antonescu yang pro- Nazi . Dengan dukungan dari tentara pendudukan Soviet, Partai Komunis Rumania berhasil memaksa Raja Mihai I kedalam pembuangan dan mendirikan rezim komunis di Rumania tahun 1948. Partai ini berkuasa di Rumania hingga meletusnya revolusi Rumania 1989 yang menjatuhkan rezim komunis Nicolae Ceauşescu .
