Pandangan dunia atau pandangan hidup adalah orientasi kognitif mendasar suatu individu atau masyarakat yang mencakup seluruh pengetahuan dan sudut pandang individu atau masyarakat, termasuk filsafat alami; anggapan fundamental, eksistensial, dan normatif; atau tema, nilai, emosi, dan etika. [ 1 ] Kata ini merupakan calque dari bahasa Jerman Weltanschauung [ˈvɛlt.ʔanˌʃaʊ.ʊŋ] ⓘ yang terdiri dari Welt ('dunia') dan Anschauung ('pandangan'). [ 2 ] Ini adalah konsep dasar filsafat dan epistemologi Jerman dan mengacu pada persepsi dunia luas .
