Kapal tempur kelas Richelieu adalah kelas kapal tempur terbesar milik Prancis , dibuat berdasarkan desain kapal kelas Dunkerque. Kapal ini dibuat untuk menandingi kapal tempur Italia dari kelas Littorio dan kapal tempur Jerman dari kelas Bismarck . Kelas Richelieu memiliki 4 kapal, yaitu Richelieu , , Clemenceau , dan Gascogne , tapi hanya 2 kapal pertama yang berhasil diselesaikan sebelum Prancis kalah dari Jerman . Kedua kapal Richelieu berada di bawah Vichy, bahkan pernah beradu dengan sebelum akhirnya kedua kapal beralih ke Sekutu pasca pembebasan Prancis.
