Edmond François Paul Pottier (13 Agustus 1855 – 4 Juli 1934) wadalah seorang sejarawan seni dan arkeolog yang berperan penting dalam mendirikan . Dia adalah seorang sarjana perintis dalam studi Tembikar Yunani Kuno .

Ia lahir di Saarbrücken , Rhineland, putra seorang insinyur sipil. Ia memenangkan tempat di Lycée Condorcet dan melanjutkan studi di École Normale Supérieure dan , tesisnya tentang kronologi archons Athena. Selama masa jabatannya sebagai kurator di Louvre , ia menyelenggarakan pertemuan pertama yang bertujuan untuk menetapkan kumpulan lengkap vas Yunani yang diadakan dalam koleksi nasional setiap negara pada tahun 1919, . Dia menghasilkan fasikula pertama untuk Louvre pada tahun 1922.

In 1908 his book on the vase painter , Douris et les peintres des vases grecs , was translated into English and published as "Douris and the painters of Greek vases". ^{[ 1 ]} Other noteworthy works by Pottier include:
