Alfred Schutz ( / ʃ ʊ t s / ; lahir dengan nama Alfred Schütz , Jerman: [ʃʏts] ; 13 April 1899 – 20 Mei 1959) adalah seorang filsuf dan fenomenolog sosial Austria, yang karya-karyanya menjembatani tradisi sosiologis dan fenomenologis. Schütz secara bertahap diakui sebagai salah satu filsuf ilmu sosial terkemuka di abad ke-20. [ 1 ] Dia menghubungkan karya Edmund Husserl dengan ilmu-ilmu sosial, menggunakannya untuk mengembangkan landasan filosofis sosiologi Max Weber, dalam karya utamanya yang berjudul Phenomenology of the Social World .
