Aaaaba adalah genus kumbang dari familia Buprestidae . Kumbang ini mendiami lokasi di sepanjang pantai timur Australia . Genus ini dideskripsikan pada tahun 1864 oleh sebagai " Alcinous ", sebuah dari genus . [ 1 ] Pada tahun 2002, Charles Bellamy memberikannya "Aaaba" , namun nama ini terbukti menjadi homonim junior lainnya, dari genus sponge . Pada tahun 2013, genus ini diberi nama pengganti lebih lanjut, menjadi Aaaaba . [ 2 ]
