Dalam anatomi manusia , ibu jari atau jempol adalah salah satu jari pada tangan . Jempol berbeda dengan keempat jari lainnya karena menghadap ke arah yang berbeda, memiliki lebih sedikit buku jari , dan lebih pendek. Jempol dapat ditekuk ke bagian dalam, ke arah jemari lainnya, dan dapat dipergunakan untuk memegang suatu benda dengan menekannya ke bagian tangan atau jemari lain.
